Professor Magdalena Nordin

Department of Literature, History of Ideas, and Religion, University of Gothenburg, Sweden

My research interests are about contemporary funeral and cemetery practices with focus on Sweden and the other Nordic countries. I am studying cemetery practices in Sweden related to All Saint’s Day, and changes in cemeteries in Sweden related  to changes in demographics and climate change. I also head a Swedish research network about funerals and cemeteries: Nätverk och forskningsinitiativ.
