Focus and Scope: Recent years has seen an expansion in academic study and reflections on the topic of death in different areas of knowledge, through investigations carried out in universities and research centres from different countries in Europe and the Americas. M. Magazine is a product of this process. Created in 2016, it is a publication linked to the Images of Death and Dying in Ibero-America Research Group – based at the Federal University of the State of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO) – and accredited by the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), with support from the Brazilian Association of Cemetery Studies (ABEC).

This Brazilian-based journal has been in production since 2016, and all content is freely accessible. The journal publishes in Brazilian Portuguese. Further information is available on the website.
