This year’s Virtual Colloquium will be taking place on the 15th November 2024, and the programme is now available here. 

We are delighted to announce that our keynote speaker is Professor Andrew Kipnis, Department of Anthropology at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Professor Kipnis has written widely on contemporary funeral practices in China, including the 2021 monograph The Funeral of Mr. Wang: Life, Death and Ghosts in Urbanizing China.
